In 2015 I’m working independently as a consultant. My current projects include a startup in the social space, a non-profit org, and a television client. I am open to full-time opportunities as well.
I spent the past year working with Creative District, a startup professional social network for filmmakers, as its Director of Community and Content.
Before that I managed social media at NBC’s The Voice (Seasons 2-6) and there I helped lead a social team that topped the charts every Monday and Tuesday night. There I had the opportunity to train hundreds of contestants in social media best practices, worked with the teams of all 6 celebrity coaches, and perhaps more famously their pets, especially @PurrfectTheCat.
In the past I created and managed President Barack Obama’s first unofficial, then official, Myspace community a million years ago before presidents tweeted. For this I was featured in a chapter of Bloggers on the Bus and some other books and conferences and things. I was in Obama’s Top 8, and the then-Senator even called to say thanks.
I’ve also contributed a bit to the Los Angeles bicycle community, like introducing the #BikeLA hashtag, and helped organize the cycling conversation in L.A. and beyond.
